Finland

We can organise and manage a corporate event in Finland or anywhere in the world. Please contact us for more information.

Finland has recently been voted as "No. 1 Destination in Europe" by readers of the British Sunday newspaper The Observer. From spending years in the shadow of its Scandinavian neighbours, Finland is now the place to be. Let's examine why.

corporate event management finlandFinland is safe, clean, with large areas of unspoilt natural beauty; yet at the same time it is a country with a dynamic, hospitable and forward-thinking population who embrace modern technology. Mobile phone ownership and home-use of the Internet are amongst the highest in Europe.

In winter there is no better place in the world for exciting and memorable snowbound programmes. With much of the northern and central parts of the country having temperatures below zero for 5-6 months of the year, with regular snowfalls, there are unlimited opportunities for exotic activity programmes. Snowmobiling, husky sledding, visits to reindeer farms, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowbound team-building events are all available, in fact the list is nearly endless.

To complete the winter picture, and for a truly unique accommodation experience, there are a number of ice hotels, built entirely from Arctic snow and ice.

Finland's summers are warm and fresh. The long days, that in northern Finland can last 24 hours, come with a unique sense of peace and relaxation, greatly appreciated in today's fast moving business world. Summer tours to Finland take advantage of the abundance of peaceful unspoilt nature: lakes, forests, wilderness, and traditional lakeside smoke saunas . appreciate the silence.

Finland is also known for the quality of its services. Overall accommodation standards are high and cuisine is top class.

Helsinki has a constantly changing restaurant and bar culture, and even in remote areas, such as parts of Lapland, hotels are comfortable, and the levels of service are always high. Helsinki is quite distinct from other European capital cities. There is rather a "small town" feel, and there are virtually no tall buildings amongst the predominantly pastel-coloured Neo-classical architecture.

The result is an enchanting mix of East meets West, the look of a rich St. Petersburg but with a thoroughly western feel. Luxury Baltic cruises can transport your group to St Petersburg, Tallinn or Stockholm. Most of Helsinki's tourist sights are located together on one peninsula, making it easy to explore the clean streets and well-kept parks on foot. Public transport is frequent and efficient, and fun too with a traditional tram system criss-crossing the city.

There are also many dedicated cycle routes, even in the city's heart, and bicycles can be rented for free in a new City Tourist Office initiative. The summer months are the most popular time to visit Helsinki, when the days are long, warm, and fresh, and open-air cafes and bars spill out onto the street. The open-air market by the harbour is awash with colour, and nearby local ferries carry locals and tourists alike to the surrounding islands.
